Aerospace CNC Machining
Nearly every mechanical component used in the aerospace industry is CNC machined. When it comes to high-tech aircraft such as rockets for NASA or SpaceX, planes (military and commercial), or helicopters, using highly precise CNC machines and an even higher level project planning is paramount.
Whether its manifolds, wings, hydraulic couplings, clamps, hinges, or other proprietary components, aerospace equipment and parts found on aircraft demand the highest standards both in raw material and machining. Stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, Inconel, and many types of plastics are commonly found in aerospace CNC machining. Other specialized materials not found in many other industries such as Kovar and titanium are also regularly used.
